Blake’s practice consists of a wide variety of civil litigation matters, representing individuals and corporate clients on both the plaintiff’s and defendant’s side of the docket. Blake has successfully tried cases involving claims of personal injury, constitutional rights violations, medical malpractice, breach of contract, Deceptive Trade Practices, property damage, fraud, as well as oil and gas disputes in both state and federal court.
In addition to his litigation practice, Blake acts as general counsel for several municipalities. He is a member of the Texas City Attorney’s Association and acts as the City Attorney for the following cities: Athens, Whitehouse, Mineola, Gun Barrel City, Troup, Chandler, Winona, Elkhart, Eustace, Seven Points, Murchison, Star Harbor, Payne Springs, Log Cabin, Caney City, Poynor, Tool, Clarksville City and White Oak.
Education law is also a large part of Blake’s practice. He serves as general counsel for Athens ISD and LaPoynor ISD. Blake also represents teachers and administrators in a wide range of matters.
Blake is a trained Mediator and assists Litigants in resolving a broad range of matters.
